Position Summary:Pavion and our family of companies (CTSI, AFA, Structure Works, Star Asset Security, et al) is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Security business unit.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Perform month end close for 1 or more subsidiariesCreate processes that are repeatable so that close can be completed with 8 days (initially) and eventually in about 6 daysPost JES and prepare account reconciliations to support month endAlign processes and accounting policies where possible in the BUs that this role supportsIdentify areas of improvement to gain efficiencies in the reporting processesSupport segment Controller in integration activitiesDocument processes and desktop procedures so that roles can be more easily transitioned as the company growsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or comparable experience working in general ledger accounting3+ years' experience in the application of accrual accounting for hard month end closePreferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in accountingStrong analytically skills and attention to detailUnderstanding of US GAAPStrong MS Excel skills (formulas, vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)Ability to work independentlyPhysical Requirements:Ability to meet travel requirements up to 10%Must be able to work at a computer/keyboardSit for extended periods of timeDisclaimer: This job description should not be construed to imply that these requirements are the exclusive standards of the position.
