number of applications for its solutions.Reporting directly to DVP,
Business Unit Controller, the Operations Controller will be a
strong business partner to the DVP, Operations for the Telular
Business Unit. Working closely with our finance and business
leaders across the company, the Operations Controller is
responsible for all the FP&A activities of Telular and its two
primary business units, SkyBitz and Telguard. This position may
also contribute to the broader Finance & Accounting organization by
participating in monthly financial close activities, operating
reviews, MD&A calls, sales, and operational planning meetings,
and making recommendations to improve and optimize financial
processes. This position will oversee, direct, and develop two
FP&A managers. Responsibilities: Responsible for the execution
of the companys financial budgeting and forecasting processes, and
for the companys financial planning model.Collaborate with the
Division Vice President of Finance to develop timelines, gather
budget and forecast data from the business units, review business
unit submissions, and prepare summary information to facilitate
review and approval by management and the corporate
leadership.Coordinate and prepare financial statements, business
activity reports, financial position forecasts, and other reports
pertaining to assigned locations.Analyze monthly financial
performance, including variances to budgets and forecasts; prepare
financial reporting information for management, the corporate
leadership, and other important stakeholders. Including the
preparation of sales and operating bridges, with relevant
commentary.Track important business trends and report on Key
Performance Indicators to assist management in executing the
companys business plans.Lead, coach and develop associates
performing operations financial reporting, accounting, controlling,
and budgeting duties.Coordinate, develop, and document standard
work and processes across assigned locations.Use the Salesforce CRM
platform to produce and distribute intelligence on the companys
sales pipeline.Build and manage partnerships across business
leaders and partners with cross-functional teams to deliver
strategic goals and objectives, increase revenue and revenue
efficiency, and improve profitability.Provide insight and
recommendations to business leaders on its financial performance,
focusing on key drivers including profitability models, trends, and
analytical needs.Diagnose and influence the key drivers of the
business. Analyze and present complex financial information in
simple terms, presenting conclusions and recommendations to
business leaders.Manage and/or execute ad-hoc financial analysis
(such as profitability analysis, pricing models, capital investment
analysis, valuations) to support strategic and tactical
decisions.Support and actively participate in meetings with leaders
and other constituents of the company.Support any M&A activity
through participation in diligence related activitiesSupport new
ERP system implementations and upgrades Qualifications BS Degree in
Accounting or Finance Required10+ years progressive experience in
an accounting, finance or controlling function within a
manufacturing environment.Advanced ERP knowledgeAdvanced Excel and
financial modelling knowledgeProven leadership experienceKnowledge
of GAAP, financial consolidation systems (Hyperion), Business
intelligence reporting, and internal control frameworks.Proven
ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy under tight
deadlines and to manage multiple projects.Strong collaborative and
communication skills, ability to build strong networks in the
organization and ability to influence others.Ability to identify
roadblocks to a process and develop a strategy to effectively
circumvent them.Solutions oriented and can quickly assess a
situation offering alternatives with related risks and
rewards.Strong change agent that can show the impact of change,
minimize undesirable impacts and onboard the changes
effectively.
