Staff Accountant - Washington, DC Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in Washington, DC looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. This position is responsible for staff accountant oversight, ensuring accurate financial reporting, adherence to accounting standards, and timely completion of month-end close activities. This position offers a hybrid work environment requiring 2-3 days in office. If interested, please do not hesitate to submit your most up to date resume. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries for routine transactions and month-end close activities. Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Maintain and update supporting schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accruals. Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Assist with audit preparation and respond to internal and external auditor requests.
