Job Description Job Description Laborer – Wet Utilities
Location: Washington, DC Position Overview: We are seeking a
full-time Laborer to support our wet utility construction projects.
The ideal candidate will assist with the installation of
stormwater, sanitary sewer, and water lines, and perform general
labor tasks on-site. This role requires physical stamina, a strong
work ethic, and a commitment to safety. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with trenching, grading, and pipe installation. Load and
unload materials and tools at the job site. Maintain a clean and
organized work area. Follow all safety protocols and participate in
daily safety meetings. Operate hand tools and small equipment as
needed. Support crew members with various tasks to ensure efficient
workflow. Report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues to the
Foreman immediately. Qualifications: Previous experience in
construction or utility work preferred but not required. Ability to
follow instructions and work as part of a team. Reliable
transportation to and from job sites. Ability to pass a federal
background check. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform manual labor in various
weather conditions. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing
tasks that require standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and
crouching. Visual acuity for identifying hazards and performing
tasks safely. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly wage.
