Job Description:

Technical Training Instructor for Mechanical Engineering. Responsibilities Machinist educator. To include instruction, course development and mentoring. Proficient up to 5 axis CNC machining, 4 axis CNC turning, sheet metal and welding fabrication. Position Requirements Client is looking for a highly motivated and skilled machinist with the following attributes on a wide range of equipment: Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) programing and operation; Computer Aided Design (CAD)/Computer Aided Machining (CAM) programing and operation; specifically proficient in FeatureCAM; Product Design and Development Quality control Research and Development (R&D) Shop design and Layout Supply and Parts management. Certified Solidworks professional or able to acquire within 6 months Familiar with manufacturing and design of subtractive and additive manufacturing processes. Proficient in Sheet metal and welding fabrication. Formal experience in adult education, such as course and curriculum development, varied instructional methods, lesson planning, student/course evaluation or similar are preferred, but may be acquired in the near-term upon arrival. The ability of the instructor to travel domestically (via POV) in support of offsite course training requirements (away from home) is also a job requirement approximately 2-3 weeks per year, with 90-day or greater advanced notice given for these scheduled trips.
