The Electronics and Sensors Division (ESD) is a world-class
engineering and scientific leader in electronics and remote sensing
systems. Our staffin the Parts,
Materials&Processes(PM&P)Departmentincludes subject matter
experts across a broad rangeof areas pertaining toelectrical,
electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) parts procurement,
qualification, application, anomaly resolution,as well as materials
and processes.Our expertisecombined withasophisticated
in-houseelectronic componentlaboratorydeliver
innovativeanalysisandPM&P program managementcapabilitiesto
national space systems and civil customers.What You'll Be Doing
- Perform independent verification and validation of
contractor'sselection of materials &
processesforelectronicspackaging and assembly
- Utilizecommon root cause analysismethods,andresults from
labequipment,to determine root cause and corrective actions for
nonconformitiesrelated to electronics packaging and assembly
- Perform reliability riskassessmentsto facilitateparts,material,
and processes controlboard decisions fornonconformities
- Advise managementand customersonselection anduse
ofemergingtechnologies in this area
- Collaborate with management, customer, contractor, and/or
component supplier personnelduring analysis
- Mentor(virtual and/or in-person)lessexperienced team members
and serve as role modelWhat You Need to be
SuccessfulMinimumRequirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in materials
science, electrical engineering, physics, or another appropriate
discipline
- Eightyears of increasingly responsible and
relatedengineering/scientificexperience
- Proficiency in related industry standards (e.g.,IPCJ STD
001,MIL PRF38534,,etc. and related requirements in standards such
asMIL STD 1580, MIL STD883)
- Excellent communication skills to concisely provide advice to
customers
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365and collaborativeapplications
(e.g., SharePoint, Confluence,MS Teams, Zoom)
- Willing to travel [domestically/internationally]approx.25%of
time
- This position requires ability to obtain and maintain
aTS/SSBIsecurityclearance, which is issued by the US government.
U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.How You

these:
- Advanced degree from an accredited university in materials
science, electrical engineering, physics, or another appropriate
discipline
- Twelve or moreyearsof experience inelectronic componentfailure
analysis
- Experience collaborating with contractors, industry working
groups, and/or associations such as NASA Electronics Parts
Assurance Group, Defense Logistics Agency, Joint Electron Device
Engineering Council,IPC, during the evaluation, selection, and
adaptation of active electronic parts for space-related
applications]
- Project managementskillsin applications such as MS Project,

is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are
determined through a wide variety of factors including but not
