Will Be Doing -
Influence and lead acquisitions, to
ensure both requirements and designs address operational needs via
requirements reviews, increment planning sessions, design reviews,
increment demonstrations, etc. - Lead activities with functional
specialists, including contracting, engineering, manufacturing
program control, configuration/data management, test, and logistics
and operations support.Manage -cost, schedule, and performance of
complex contracts to develop, deliver, and sustain overhead
reconnaissance systems, including spacecraft hardware, ground and
communication components, and mission software applications.Ensure
the end-to-end operational readiness of new satellite missions, to
include successful delivery satellite payload components;
completion of systems test and operational exercises; development
of initial and final operational capability criteria with
stakeholders; and assessment of ability to support launch,
initialization, and operations.Exposure to Artificial Intelligence
(AI)/Machine Learning (ML) techniques to optimize overhead
collection, operations and data usability.Collaborate with
operational stakeholders both internal and external to the NRO, to
include acquisition offices and mission partners in support of
mission operations.Manage technical issues and risks to minimize
impacts to ensure mission success while minimizing operational
impacts.Apply modern systems engineering principles, techniques,
services, and practices at the appropriate level of the
architecture to ensure a disciplined approach to meeting
intelligence needs with NRO systems.Investigate and make
recommendations to improve mission operations, in areas, such as
efficiency, availability, resiliency, and operability. -Ensure
completion of milestone readiness criteria and coordination with
decision authorities to bring new satellite missions into
operations.Review and evaluate studies, projects, proposals, or
reports.Conducts technical analyses and field work to achieve
desired products or services.What You Need - Bachelor's degree in
Professional Engineering. To be acceptable, the curriculum must be
in a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited
by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).-
Expertise in advanced multidisciplinary engineering or related
engineering/technical discipline, concepts, principles, practices,
standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment sufficient
to apply experimental theories, principles, and concepts to project
development, execution, and advisory services. - Demonstrated
interpersonal, organizational, and management skills to
conceptualize and effectively lead complex analytic projects with
limited supervision- Ability to work collegially to find consensus
solution when views differ among agencies, and ability to
effectively work independently and within a team or collaborative
environment. - Demonstrated written and oral communication skills,
including ability to communicate effectively with people at all
levels of leadership and ability to give effective oral
presentations at levels appropriate to and tailored for different
target audiences. Desired Qualifications and Experience
