Electrical Manufacturing & Power Distribution Position Overview We
are seeking an experienced and detail?oriented Electrical Test
Technician to perform comprehensive testing and inspection of
electrical switchboards and power distribution equipment. This role
ensures products meet UL standards, NEC requirements, and customer
specifications. The ideal candidate brings strong technical
expertise, exceptional troubleshooting ability, and a commitment to
product integrity and safety. Key Responsibilities Conduct
electrical testing on switchboards, including dielectric testing,
mechanical operation checks, and control wiring validation. Perform
quality control inspections in accordance with UL 891 , NEC , and
internal standards. Accurately document test results, inspection
findings, and compliance records. Monitor production processes to
ensure adherence to approved specifications and identify potential
deviations early. Ensure all products comply with internal quality
standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with production
and engineering teams to investigate and resolve quality issues.
Recommend and support corrective and preventive actions to drive
continuous improvement. Maintain calibration and proper operation
of all testing and inspection equipment. Follow all safety
protocols, including electrical safety best practices. Participate
in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to process
optimization. Perform additional duties as assigned. Essential
Skills & Qualifications Associate degree in Electrical Technology
or substantial experience with UL 891 and NEC standards. At least 2
years of experience testing industrial electrical equipment.
Proficiency with electrical testing tools such as Hi-pot testers,
multimeters , and inspection instruments. Strong understanding of
electrical theory, power distribution systems, and safety
practices. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing
documents, and wiring diagrams. Knowledge of NFPA 70E safety
requirements (preferred). Strong analytical and troubleshooting
skills with high accuracy in testing and documentation. Effective
verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional
Preferred Qualifications NETA certification or similar electrical
testing credentials. Valid driver’s license with occasional travel
availability. Ability to stand, walk, reach, and handle equipment
frequently. Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull 60 lbs

state-of-the-art facility designed to accommodate 200–250
employees. Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise,
machinery, and fluctuating temperatures. Schedule , 6:00 AM – 6:00
PM. Required PPE includes steel?toe boots, safety glasses, long
pants, and thick long sleeves (PPE provided except footwear).
Initial onboarding includes a week-long training program before
assignment to a production team. Job Type & Location This is a
Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD. Pay and
Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
