DescriptionSAIC is seeking a Logistics Control Manager to be responsible for equipment and peripherals management through the entire project and program life cycle for an exciting and innovative complex space and ground effort. The successful candidate will work both independently and in a team based environment to develop, coordinate and manage equipment repository, processes, methodology and related communication. This position is located in Chantilly, VA and requires a Top Secret Clearance minimum.The program is building IT networks from the ground up and the workload will increase over time. In addition to GFE, the individual will need to support other business functions within the Program Management Office. Duties will include facilities coordination for all needs in support of the program. Administrative duties will be included in this role as individual will serve as a back up to those functions as well.We are looking for an individual willing to help the program in any way necessary and willing to take on a variety of tasks. Flexible work schedule of 9/80 is available on this program.Daily Activities include:

  • Solely responsible for the support of Supply Chain/Logistics/Property Management and Procurement requirements
  • Provide and coordinate all documentation necessary for the proper handling of IT equipment in support of newly established IT networks to meet all corporate and government requirements.
  • Interact with stakeholders, vendors and contractors to maintain efficient and effective control management processes, procedures and systems
  • Assist program / project team to develop and maintain documentation of various types to support program needs
  • Assist Program Management Office with various projects as needed in areas other than property management.
  • Assess processes and procedures to identify efficiencies aimed at streamlining initiatives
  • Apprise management and all program stakeholders of risk and progress issues early enough to be addressedQualificationsTYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experienceClearance Requirements:
    • Current TS clearance with ability and willingness to upgradeQualifications:
      • Experience in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or related discipline
      • Possess knowledge of industry accepted standards and best practices related to Supply Chain Management
      • Demonstrated ability to conduct analysis and evaluations- making recommendations and providing professional advice and assistance to include preparing criteria and analytical aids, briefings, reports and presentations
      • Skilled/comfortable working in high-tempo environment, able to be flexible and to adjust to dynamic political, technical and/or fiscal challengesDesired Qualifications:
        • Understanding of Systems Applications & Products (SAP), SharePoint, and Microsoft Suite (Project, PowerPoint, Excel)
        • Knowledge of Property Manuals
        • National Property Management Association (NPMA) Certification
