You Will Do: As an enterprise risk management (ERM) professional on
our Public Sector Financial Services team, you will be responsible
for advising clients in designing, implementing and maturing their
ERM programs. As a Consultant on this team, you must have a
thorough understanding of risk management principles and their
application in the government and commercial sectors. You will
utilize your experience in designing, implementing, and evolving
risk management programs aligned to recognized standards, including
your demonstrated knowledge and/or proven record of success in the
following key areas: --- ERM frameworks and standards (e.g., COSO
ERM, ISO 31000) --- Risk governance and oversight --- Risk appetite
and tolerance --- Risk identification and assessment methodologies
--- Risk analytics, metrics, and reporting --- Culture and
organizational change management --- Risk tools and technology ---
Three Lines of Defense model What You Will Need:
- A Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience,
or equivalent combination of education, experience and
training
- Minimum of 1+ years of enterprise risk management experience or
1+ years' experience in Internal Controls for Financial Management,
with a strong desire to develop a capability in ERM and a
willingness to invest in learning about ERM
- Ability to pass a government background investigation
- Per our contractual requirements, US Citizenship is required
for this roleWhat Would Be Nice To Have:
- Financial services or federal government experience
- RIMS CRMP, COSO, or other ERM or risk management related
certification
- Demonstrated skills in the following areas:
- Working knowledge of applying one or more risk management
standards (e.g., COSO, ISO, OMB Circular A-123, GAO Risk Assessment
Framework)
- Facilitating risk assessment and risk prioritization
sessions
- Developing a risk appetite framework and acceptable variations
in performance in alignment with strategy and performance
objectives
- Effectively participating in client executive discussions and
meetings
- Producing high-quality deliverables and work products
- Delivering high-quality, professional services to clients
(including but not limited to: facilitating effective client
meetings and workshops, delivering ERM training to clients
- Proficiency with MS Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and
Word
- While this role is based in Washington, DC, the expectation is
for a hybrid work environment with time split between working
remotely and 1-2 days/week in the Guidehouse and/or client office
