Job Description:

Reports directly to the CISO. Directs and coordinates the cybersecurity operations of the company, including all phases of vulnerability management, incident management, network security, system security, access management, and day to day operations required for cybersecurity operations to support the needs of the business. Permanent remote position; EST and CST preferred. US citizenship is required.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provides leadership, guidance, oversight, and support of activities related to the cybersecurity mission, goals, and objectives. Manages the day-to-day activities of cybersecurity operations. Oversees cybersecurity change management and end user support. Manages the technical, engineering, development, installation, implementation, and operationalization of services for current and future cybersecurity operations. Oversee and coordinate enterprise level cybersecurity projects. Direct penetration test actions and vulnerability management efforts. Ensures the performance of incident response actions within given SLA's. Evaluate and make recommendations to senior management the feasibility, effectiveness, and risk of new initiatives in cybersecurity. Plans, directs, and oversees daily tasks and activities of direct reports. Develops work performance plans and evaluations. Oversees the development and implementation of long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the company's objectives. Provides proactive representation to internal and external groups as needed. Provides support for disaster response and recovery or continuity of operations to ensure minimal business impact through proper planning, testing, and execution of plans as required. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the industry, threat environment, and cybersecurity best practices. Knowledge of key regulatory compliance mandates such as DFARS and CMMC. Provide metrics and status reports to the CISO. Travel up to 25% Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• 
  15 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or;
  
  
• 
  12 years of experience with a master's degree in computer science or related field.
  
  
• 
  6 years of managerial experience
  
  
• 
  CISSP certification
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated leadership of, and extensive experience in, cybersecurity operations.
  
  
• 
  Experience with common cybersecurity tools and platforms including, but not limited to:
  
  
• 
  Nessus
  
  
• 
  Microsoft GCCH / O365
  
  
• 
  Microsoft Azure
  
  
• 
  Microsoft Defender
  
  
• 
  Fire eye products
  
  
• 
  Email protection platforms
  
  
• 
  Palo Alto products
  
  
• 
  Knowledge of commonly used tactics, techniques, and procedures (e.g. MITRE ATT&CK)
  
  
  Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
  Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 50 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
