Program Manager - Food Distribution - Remote
POSITION SUMMARY
Amentum is seeking a full-time Senior Program Manager to support execution and growth in its Critical Missions/Logistics & Supply Chain business line. This person will plans, direct, control, monitor and support program(s) to ensure satisfactory completion of the program objectives. Oversee programs providing multi-disciplinary teams in the design, development, implementation, operation and maintenance of diverse supply chain solutions. Assists in the planning, control and direction of staff and support personnel for one or more contracts. Directly supports the maintenance of the current base and develop and implement new business strategies to achieve growth in the supply chain sector.
Essential Responsibilities:

  Plan and lead communication with customers.

  Develop marketing and communication strategies with client and ultimate customers and recipients of services.
  
  
• 
  Gather market intelligence and customer requirements and proactively work with capture management team to develop capabilities, customer offering.
  
  
• 
  Play an active role in defining and improving win strategy for specific business pursuits assigned.
  
  
• 
  Prepare Operations team staffing plan and overall resource basis of estimate.
  
  
• 
  Develop and implement client contact plan and proactively manage Amentum brand within the agency across multiple organizational levels.
  
  
• 
  Identify customer's key challenges through direct customer contact and develop cost effective and innovative solutions.
  
  
• 
  Ensure effective and efficient implementation of proven best practices in pursuit of specific distribution objectives.
  
  
• 
  Lead preparation and oversight of management plans and technical solutions inclusive of other program functions such as: catalog management, sourcing, procurement, demand planning, forecasting and inventory replenishment, inbound logistics, distribution and customer service.
  
  
• 
  Ensure selection and participation in recruitment of key personnel and staff for program implementation and execution.
  
  
• 
  Interface with customers on a regular basis for support of engineering and program management activities.
  
  
  12)Monitor customer feedback and advise on a broad range of issues related to products/services being deli.

  Act as a point-of-contact for all matters relating to the assigned contract for representative between government personnel and Amentum management team.

  Provides management guidance and control for the efficient utilization of human resources assignment, performance, morale and overall welfare.
  
  
• 
  Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
  
  
  Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions. Must be able to work extended hours, often with short notice, to meet deadlines. Extended hours may include late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.
  This position may be filled virtually or in the Falls Church/Chantilly Virginia or Ft. Worth/Alliance area.
  QUALIFICATIONS

• 
  Ten (10) years of successful Program Management experience in the Government services market with Two (2) of those years focusing on moderate to large programs.
  
  
• 
  Proven track record developing market strategies, assisting teams in pursuing relevant opportunities and developing winning solutions.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated expertise and success in leading operational teams on a large scale distribution contracts accross multiple countries and geographies, in support of DoD customers in OCONUS contingency environments.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated expertise in identifing and implementing distribution best practices that resulted in improvements and cost savings to customers, supply chain optimization and efficiencies, OPEX reduction and improved service records to customers through contractual and operational KPIs.
  
  
• 
  Experience leading large teams consisting of internal and external sources.
  
  
• 
  Experience with problem resolution and root cause analysis thru data analytics, and implmentation of corrective actions accross PMO and other stakeholders.
  
  
• 
  Strong interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility to work effectively with government officials, senior managers, employees, partner leaders, consultants, and the public.
  
  
• 
  Strong leadership skills with an ability to coach, lead, motivate and influence others to support program goals and objectives in an effort to develop and maintain operationally effective and cost efficient program.
  
  
• 
  Ability to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance.
  
  
• 
  Ability to help formulate winning technical, management, past performance, cost and oral presentation strategies.
  
  
• 
  Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications.
  
  
• 
  U.S. citizenship with ability to acquire and maintain a security clearance
  
  
  EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  ---Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Affairs, or related field
  ---Program Management (PMP) certification
  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION

    Master's degree in a relevant discipline

    Additional education or training in distribution disciplines
    
    
  • 
    Prior US Military service or work in other federal agencies

    Expertise in US Government and/or military logistics and supply chain programs, to include CONUS/OCONUS purchasing; warehousing; distribution; base/facilities operations, maintenance and support; and related requirements
    
    
  • 
    Relevant contract operations experience
    
    
  • 
    Familiarity with logistics management software system(s)
    
    
  • 
    Active Secret or higher US DoD security clearance
