Fibertek, Inc. is a leading developer of laser and electro-optic systems for the aerospace community, with key contributions to lasers for atmospheric sensing, laser communications, and lidar sensors for NASA, DoD, and commercial customers. -- We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer and Assistant Purchasing Manager to purchase goods and services according to departmental and organizational policies and procedures. As a Senior Buyer, you--??ll play a crucial role in sourcing and purchasing goods and services for our organization.--

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Purchases goods and services according to the company--??s policies and procedures.

• Lead, develop, train and mentor a team of buying professionals.

• Issuance, review and approval of compliant purchase orders.
  - - - -
• Works with vendors to negotiate the best price, value and terms.

• Maintains pricing histories and other vendor records.

• Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.
