of a team (with a Product Owner) responsible for defining new
product feature enhancements, planning and directing activities to
ensure the timely development and delivery of reliable and
efficient solutions to business requirements, and developing
acceptance criteria to validate that the resulting product meets
initial requirements. This position is primarily focused on the
market, sales, customer, feature definition and forecasting side of
the product management organization. They define the product to fit
the market need, forecast anticipated revenue, act as the
customer's proxy, accept a product from product owners as the final
step in delivery and adjudicate bug queues both to prioritize and
to ensure they are not unsupported features. Great product managers
can come from a variety of background, but they tend more often to
be of a technical background with marketing focused MBAs.The
satellite industry is continuing to evolve with higher throughput
satellites with dynamic payloads in the GEO, MEO, and LEO orbits.
This once relatively insular industry is also undergoing
convergence with the terrestrial telecom space. The new generation
of products will be increasingly standard-based and software and
cloud driven. ST Engineering iDirect continues its market
leadership with new developments in its portfolio of virtualized
software systems and high-performance appliances to drive the
industry forward. Technology focus will include cloud-enabled
architecture, platform security, multi-orbit operations, MEF and 5G
standard compliance and end-to-end service
orchestration.Responsibilities:Initiate and sustain productive
relationships with identified customers and their sales, marketing,
product management and solution delivery organizations.Coordinate
with iDirect Sales and Customer Support organizations to ensure
consistent, positive, and knowledgeable representation of the
company and its activities.Responsible for evaluating and
prioritizing backlog of features, enhancements and bugs fixes based
on business, customer, and strategic value.Serve as customer proxy
with internal stakeholders (e.g. Product Owners, Engineering,
Sales), balancing needs of customer with iDirect business
requirements.Management of process for evaluating all new
product/feature/solutions requests.Gather and analyze data required
to develop business requirements required for business case
creation in support of request.Develop and deliver comprehensive
business cases (market need, feature analysis, customer
identification and financial forecasting).Running business case
through comprehensive Decision Tree process.Work with assigned
Product Owners to translate requirements into executable product
use cases, scenarios, and acceptable criteria.Be a subject matter
expert related to products and technical best
practices.Identification and escalation of issues/obstacles to
delivering the product as definedResponsible for delivering a
complete system to the company.Responsible for delivering finished
product (including documentation, adequate testing, appropriate
functional and performance capabilities) as co-defined with Product
Owner.Responsible for the definition and execution of go-to-market
strategy for new products or feature along with sales, product
marketing, supply chain, trade compliance, training, services, and
etc.Responsible for the entire life cycle of a product or software
from the ideation to the end-of-support.Qualifications:Bachelor's
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related majors required,
MBA preferred.10+ years progressive experience as Product Manager
in the security market or STEM related field; satellite,
networking, IT, or telecommunications.Experience with various
security maturity models and standards such as SAMM, BSIMM, NIST,
SOC, FISMA, etc.Demonstrated ability to effectively represent the
company to external audiences.Business acumen; ability to conduct
financial and data analysis, construct and communicate
recommendations in a business context.Technical acumen; ability to
understand key technical aspects of the product.Prior collaboration
with Product Owners to translate market and customer needs into
consumable epics and stories with acceptance criteria for
engineering organization.Ability to lead cross functional teams and
drive projects to successful outcomes.Experience in agile
development methodology highly preferred.Experience managing the
entire lifecycle of hardware solutions.Exceptional written and oral
communication skills.Travel Requirements: 50% or less
