Chenega Corporateis seeking a 1099 Proposal ManagerConsultant to support the Security Strategic Business Unit (S-SBU)headquartered in Chantilly, VA. The Proposal Manager is the focal point for allS-SBU proposal efforts and manages proposal development and ensuring proposalprocess and practices remain aligned with Business Development, Capture, and BusinessPlan strategies. The proposal efforts can range from $20M - $200M. Duties andResponsibilities:* Excellentcommunication, organization and collaboration skills are critical to success inthis role due to the need to support multiple levels of management, diverseteams, and multiple projects simultaneously.* Providesinput for bid and proposal team assignments; lead team to translate winstrategies into proposal win themes, develop key messages and producecompelling, professional documents utilizing benefits statements, graphics andproofs. Ensure consistency with brand, value proposition, communicationguidelines, business objectives and style standards.* Facilitatesthe swift formation of a proposal team, establish proposal schedules, shred theRFP.RFQ/RFI or task order, develop annotated outlines for timely conversion towriters; templates, and lead or participate in the kickoff.* Maintainschedules, organize resources, coordinate inputs and reviews, ensure bidstrategy implementation, ensure compliance, resolve internal team issues andprovide process leadership.* Leadsthe proposal team, define expectations, manage resulting action items,facilitate lessons learned discussions post submission and post award.* Researchand analyze data and information provided in solicitation documents and prepareresponses in various formats to Requests for Information, Quotes or Proposals.* Developand manage products using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.* Upload,manage and coordinate documents in SharePoint.* Supporta dynamic schedule which may require evening and weekend work.* Otherduties as assigned MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.)* Eight (8) or more years ofdemonstrated experience supporting business development activities for USGovernment contracts.* Demonstrated experience inprioritizing proposal opportunities, outlining solutions and leading small tomedium size federal proposals, with a minimum of $10M dollar value.* Bachelor's degree from anaccredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience. AMaster's Degree or PMP certification is preferred.* Demonstrated experience withSharePoint and Microsoft Office products. Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:* Excellentinterpersonal skills; ability to work well within a diverse team.* Demonstratedexcellent communication, presentation and team building skills* Demonstratedability to multi-task in the support of multiple simultaneous proposals.* Interactconstructively and effectively with differing levels of leadership and staff* Abilityto work more than standard workweek hours as needed for proposal activities Physical Demands:(The physical demands describedhere are representative of those that must be met by an employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job.
