Full Time: Back End Days (7am-7:30pm, every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday) Pay Range: $38/hr. Summary of Job: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team. The LPN position also identifies the need for medical attention and alerts the Physician and/or RN of medical concerns. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ---Assists with intake process. ---Collects blood or urine specimens and arranges transport to lab as ordered. ---Monitors care of individuals to include monitoring of medications under the supervision of the RN. ---Oversees and maintains medication records in accordance with policy and State Regulations. ---Provides support to Medical Assistants and other staff as needed, which includes treatment and discharge planning. ---Provides education regarding diabetic care, psychiatric medication and other medical needs to enhance individual health and wellbeing. ---Coordinates care including assisting individuals with making medical and/or other Provider appointments as needed. ---Completes clinical documentation as required. ---Understands and adheres to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies. ---Performs other related duties assigned. Job Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. ---Thorough comprehension of psychiatric nursing preferred. ---Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, common side effects, reactions and interactions of medications prescribed. ---Ability to work with agitated patients in crisis and their families to implement behavioral management interventions. ---Basic computer skills. ---Ability to pay close attention to detail. ---Ability to problem solve. ---Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. ---Effective listening skills. ---Excellent clinical documentation skills. ---Graduation from an accredited LPN program. ---Current and valid LPN license. ---Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting. Driving Requirements: ---If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in RI International driving policy. ---If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non-Driver Attestation form must be signed. A Nursing Competency Checklist must be completed as part of the new hire onboarding process. Physical Demands: May include work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected vision; color vision; use of auditory senses. May be required to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Work Environment May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility.
