Participating in the design, delivery and evaluation of educational programs to promote clinical development and career progression from novice to proficient nurse for new or existing clinicians is expected.Schedule: Part-time, Nights (2 – 8 hour shifts) Will also be required to work clinically on a home unit for 1-2 (12hours) per shift.Requirements: Requires a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in clinical nursing in designated specialty. Experience serving as preceptor.Minimum Education Requirement: BSN (Bachelors Degree of Nursing) from an accredited school of nursing.Minimum Licensure: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).Certification Requirement: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.Preferred Qualifications:- Prior experience in ICU, PCU, and/or Medical/Surgical.- Experience with teaching, mentoring, and coaching nursing staff, especially new graduate and novice nurses within the clinical acute setting.- Proficient in English.- Strong verbal and written communication skills.- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others.- Proficient computer skills required.Inova Job ID #655174.
