Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare
services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory
Therapist to join our team. This position is instrumental in
providing specialized care to patients with respiratory conditions
in both facility-based and home-based settings. Our Respiratory
Therapists are crucial to the recovery and well-being of our
patients, playing a key role in our inpatient rehabilitation
hospitals, home health agencies, and hospice agencies. The ideal
candidate will have a deep understanding of respiratory therapy
practices and a commitment to patient care, ensuring the highest
quality of life possible. Assess patient respiratory condition
using diagnostic tests and medical equipment. Develop and implement
treatment plans based on patient needs and condition. Manage and
operate devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas
administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and
aerosol generators. Monitor patient response to treatment and
modify treatment plans accordingly. Educate patients and families
on respiratory treatments and health maintenance. Collaborate with
healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Proficient
in using respiratory care equipment and diagnostic tools. Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a
multidisciplinary team. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Valid state license.
