Registered Nurse (RN) | Neuro Location: Richmond, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,942 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting License: Active compact license required Certifications: BLS & ACLS Must-Have: Strong sense of teamwork Compassion and patience Description: Two years of experience in a hospital setting is required. Active compact license is required. BLS certification is required. The unit consists of 18 beds in a medical-surgical setting. The team includes 13 registered nurses, 5 licensed practical nurses, and 25 patient care technicians. Staffing includes 1 clinical coordinator and 43 registered nurses during the day shift. Patient ratios range from 5 to 6 patients per nurse. Equipment used includes feeding pumps, PEG tubes, IVs, central lines, drains, EKGs, and electronic medical records. Typical procedures performed on the unit include assisting with bedside lumbar punctures, central line dressing changes, tube feedings, wound care, and Foley catheter insertion. The ideal candidate is outgoing, a team player, and exhibits compassion. Strong communication skills and neuro assessment skills are preferred. Floating to Med-Surg may be required.
