Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare organization in
the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area, seeks a dedicated and experienced
Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in Medical,
Surgical, and Oncology care. This position offers the unique
opportunity to work in a compassionate environment that prioritizes

innovative treatments. Our RNs play a critical role in our mission
to provide top-quality healthcare, offering support across various
stages of patient care, from diagnosis to recovery. Provide direct
nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures,
and protocols of the healthcare organization. Perform comprehensive
patient assessments and develop appropriate nursing care plans.
Administer medications and treatments with accuracy, and monitor
responses to treatments. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
to facilitate coordinated and comprehensive care. Educate patients
and families on illness and proactive health and lifestyle choices.
Maintain up-to-date patient documentation and participate in
quality improvement initiatives. Strong clinical skills in a
hospital setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work effectively in team settings Demonstrates
resilience and the ability to cope with stressful situations
Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Basic Life Support (BLS) certified Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
