Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the CVICU.
Candidates must provide proof of pending licensure status upon
submission. A valid nursing license is required before the start
date. They must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation
Exam, achieving a minimum score of 80% overall and 100% on lethal
rhythms. Candidates must work 3-12 or 4-12 hour shifts, rotating
between day and night. Weekend coverage is required, with every
other weekend scheduling. Holidays may be assigned as needed. This
role involves floating to ICU and IMC as required. The patient age
groups will include adults and geriatrics. The daily patient census
ranges from 25 to 32. Patient diagnoses may include post-cardiac
and major vascular surgery cases, as well as heart failure on
temporary mechanical circulator support. Candidates should have
experience managing various critical care equipment and procedures.
They must also be comfortable working collaboratively with
interdisciplinary support staff. All candidates must comply with
training and clearance requirements prior to their contract start.
