Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare organization in
the DC-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a compassionate and
dedicated Clinical Nurse I (RN) to join our Special Care Nursery
team. This role is pivotal in providing top-notch health services
in a nurturing environment for newborns needing special care. As a
Clinical Nurse I, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary
team to ensure optimal patient outcomes while adhering to the
highest standards of safety and care. Provide direct and
individualized nursing care to newborns in accordance with
established hospital policies and procedures. Attend to rapid
assessment and treatment of neonates with health issues, ensuring
each infant receives appropriate care tailored to their health
status. Document nursing interventions and interactions with
patients and participate in the review and clinical auditing
processes. Engage in educational initiatives to improve patient
outcomes, incorporating evidence-based knowledge into the practical
care setting. Participate in the training and mentoring of new
staff and students. Expertise in neonatal care and handling Strong
critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in using medical
software and neonatal equipment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license
in the state of employment Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
