Position Overview: Western State Hospital is seeking a full time
Food Service Tech III Supervisor to be responsible to the Kitchen
Manager for providing supervision for the operations area as
assigned on a daily basis to include sanitation, tray assembly and
Cafeteria service; coordinate needs/services for area supervised
with other areas of the department; provide critical input to
department workflow based on oversight of job tasks and
observation/coordination of intradepartmental operations; and
ensure practice of proper production and food safety practices in
accordance with rules and regulations of the Virginia Department of
Health (VDH). Key Responsibilities: - Ensure the requirements of
the performance planning and evaluation system are met and
evaluations are completed by established deadlines with proper
documentation - Staff receive frequent, constructive feedback and
coaching, including interim evaluations as appropriate -
Attendance/punctuality support performance at the expected level -
Supervise and give work direction to Food Operations Assistants -
Monitor foodservice provided in tray assembly area to ensure it
meets or exceeds food safety and sanitation guidelines set by the
VDH - Accurately serves food and beverage items in proper amounts -
Responsible for making daily decisions to promote efficient work
flow for sanitation responsibilities in the dish room and cleaning
of the general kitchen areas - Enter/change patient data into the
Net Menu system to include patient admissions/discharges, dining
service schedules (tray holds and eating locations), diet order
changes and patient movement information - Run tray tickets on

School diploma or equivalent - Experience in Food Service -
Supervisory experience in food service Additional Considerations -
Certified Dietary Manager certification - Prior experience in
