Job Description Job Description PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) Location: Reston, VA (On-site, outpatient behavioral health clinic) Pay Rate: $45 – 55/hour Schedule: PRN/flex – shifts scheduled per clinic demand Position Overview: Seeking a reliable, skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support brain SPECT imaging in a busy outpatient setting. Ideal candidates are organized, patient-focused, and experienced in both adult and pediatric populations. Efficiency, compliance, and compassion are essential. Key Responsibilities: Perform brain SPECT scans and follow quality assurance protocols Prepare/administer radiopharmaceutical doses and IV injection Process and print scan images daily Maintain Odyssey hard drive and accurate logbooks Conduct hot-lab responsibilities (daily, weekly, and periodic QC) Order isotopes, perform inventory management Execute semi-annual and annual calibrator tests Adhere to state/federal nuclear safety and record-keeping Qualifications & Skills: ? Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license for VA ? Experience in high-volume outpatient imaging ? Skilled in communicating technical info to patients ? Strong time management and teamwork abilities ? Empathy and emotional stability working with diverse patients ? Brain imaging experience and familiarity with Picker Prism 3000 is a plus Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Climate-controlled clinic Moderate noise levels Frequent computer, scanner, and equipment use Light physical activity: standing, walking, reaching; some lifting (up to 15 lbs) Frequent typing and patient interaction Why Join This Team? ?
