customer-oriented Staff Systems Administrator in support of a
secure Windows based Information System in Chantilly, VA.The
Systems Administrator will maintain data files and control
procedures for a complex system of networked computers or for a
single group of microcomputers linked to a host workstation, or
mainframe. Responsible for system security and data integrity.
Assigns passwords, monitors use of resources, backs up files as
required, and responds to management requests for
information.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain/troubleshoot customer Windows servers, workstations, both
on-site and remotely. Perform Windows system administrative support
to include adding and removing users, installing software,
monitoring systems and assisting users on a daily basis Performing
remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and questions
Determining the best solution based on the issue and details
provided by customers Properly escalate unresolved tickets to the
next level of support Track, route, and redirect problems to
correct resources Learn fundamental operations of commonly used
software and hardware equipment. Following standard operating
procedures; accurately log all tickets using the defined tracking
software Walking customers through problem solving process and
follow up with customers to ensure proper incident closure Ensuring
proper incident and request recording, documentation, and closure
Day-to-day coordination and administration of tasks by ensuring
quality and productivity standards are maintained while meeting
customer schedules base configurations on switches, routers and PCs
being prepared for deployment. Coordinate with Logistics in
preparing and shipping equipment, confirm customer receipt of
equipment, and validate logistics inventory. Ability to perform
site surveys remotely and identify requirements for hardware and
cabling requirements Other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. 2-4
years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows
2016 Server and Windows 10 and Cisco Network routers and switches
DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required (Security+ CE and
Computing Environment certification) Ability to utilize the
applications for Microsoft Office for support, reporting and
documentation Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a
problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it Utilize
excellent customer service skills and exceed customers expectations
Excellent oral and written communication skillsPreferred
Qualifications: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Basic networking
knowledge Experience with deploying workstations Experience using a
ticketing system, such as Remedy or ServiceNow ITIL 4 Foundations
certification Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
Willingness to work after normal duty hours (nights and weekends)
as needed Previous customer service experienceSecurity Clearance
Requirements: US Citizenship required and active TS clearance
adjudicated within the last 6 years Candidate must be willing to
submit to a random CI polygraphPhysical Requirements: This is a
sedentary position. Must be able to remain in a stationary position
50%. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about
inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
The person in this position must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
The person in this position frequently communicates with
co-workers, management, and customers and must be able to exchange
