career and customer-oriented Service Engineering Technical Director
to provide unparalleled support to our customer and develop an
exciting and rewarding career within ManTech, in the Chantilly, VA
area. As the Service Engineer Technical Director, lead a team of
Service Engineers and developers in support of an enterprise level
secure information system. Work with a diverse set of Government
and contractor leadership and technical personnel to achieve the
Government's objectives in support of their national security
mission. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Leads the
design, plan, and integration of Code First technical solutions
with modern deployment techniquesDevelop automation scripts for
efficient deployment and operations of technical solutionsEvaluates
and reports on technologies to enhance Enterprise IT
capabilitiesProvides IT Systems Engineering support on a wide range
of technologies, including: Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft
SharePoint, Oracle databases, Microsoft SQL Server, Altiris,
Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat, HBSS, Splunk,
customer line-of-business applications, VMware vCenter, Horizon
View, VMware NSX, HPAC Secure Printing, HP Blade Servers, HP SANs,
Certificate Services, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policies
and Microsoft Windows Operating SystemsDesigns and deploy
enterprise level disaster recovery solutionsDesigns and deploys
enterprise class SAN deployments and backup infrastructures,
including Data-at-Rest encryptionDesigns and deploys new
applications and services to the infrastructureImplements Code
First solutions using Infrastructure as Code to describe and to
document solutionsProvides systems integration using automated
integrating technologies including system deployment leveraging a
CI/CD pipelineDevelops automated tests using provided testing
frameworkAssists Service Operations teams to diagnose and resolve
the toughest performance, security, and/or technical challenges
related to desktop support and deploymentsDevelops client install
packages for across-the-wire system deployments and system
upgradesPerforms requirements analysis, design, and integration for
complex software application environments and collaboration
infrastructuresProvides direction and guidance to less experienced
systems engineersParticipates in technology evaluation and
reengineering teams to support strategy-definition and continuous
process improvement activitiesParticipates in the design,
implementation and management of workload automation
initiativesAdheres to firm Change Management, Problem Management
policies and familiarity with ITIL or other formalized IT
operations foundations
Basic Qualifications:Bachelors degree in a technical field or
equivalent work experienceDoD 8570 IAT Level III certification
requiredDoD 8570 computing environment certification within 6
months of hireMinimum 5 years leading project systems engineers to
deliver new and upgrade existing servicesExperience with Microsoft
operating systems and software, VMware technology suite and
LinuxExperience developing work breakdowns, schedules and
engineering plansExperience with VMware datacenter solutions for
enclaves, multitenancy, high availability and disaster
recoveryExperience with DevOps, automation and scriptingExperience
with RMF and DODAF 2.0 documentation standards and Change
Management processProfessional level MS, Linux, VMware or cloud
certificationsHighly skilled with scripting languagesITIL v4
Foundations certificationAbility to meet Service Engineering
metricsAbility to work with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:Computer Science or equivalent Bachelor's
degreeAbility to exceed Service Engineering metrics
Security Clearance Requirements: US Citizenship required, and
active Top Secret adjudicated within the last 6 yearsMust be able
to obtain and maintain Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph after
starting position.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary
position up to 75% of the timeMust be able to move about inside the
office and datacenter to access IT equipmentThe person in this
position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and
customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able
to exchange accurate information in these situationsMust be able to
observe and detect employee deviations from established
procedures/policy
