North Point Technology is seeking a Software Solution Architect to provide technical leadership for integration of both commercial and custom software platforms in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This role will be focused on alignment of development approaches and standards integrated by the contract into Enterprise DevOps toolsets supported by the Customer. The role will also support new internal development projects in a Software SA/Product Owner role.

Responsibilities:

• Leading software and systems engineering regarding code development approaches and standardization for tool development, integration of standards into practice for new development efforts, and alignment of legacy and integrated system baselines into new DevOps standards
• Provide subject matter expertise (SME) for software coding and DevOps toolsets, with the ability to communicate the system's features, architecture, roadmap, and limitations to a variety of audiences
• Collaborate with other program technical leadership on the software and system architecture roadmap/backlog aligned to customer's technology strategy and vision
• Decompose requirements, use cases, and need statements into epics and features with clearly defined acceptance criteria that will be assigned to agile development teams
• Provide hands-on technical support to the team (systems engineering, software engineering, testing approach)
• Collaborate with external program/customer stakeholders to understand and align FS2 practices to customer enterprise standards and practices
• Execute analysis of alternatives (AoA) and prototypes to determine the design of new system features and capabilities
• Identify and review new technical approaches for implementation under an Infrastructure as Code approach for PaaS and deployment automation with emphasis on automated Configuration Management
• Participate and provide subject matter expertise in technical exchange meetings and other customer or stakeholder forums
• Manage the system requirements and maintain technical requirement documents
• Create and communicate design artifacts to the team to ensure applications and services are built to support the business and architecture objectives
• Provide subject matter expertise and support agile development teams in the continuous integration of epics and features
• Communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals, and strategies to executive management and the team Core Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree and 12 + years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 + years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years experience in lieu of degree
  • Must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance
  • Direct experience with AWS capabilities and service integration
  • Direct experience with DevOps toolset integration and deployment standards (ex: GITLAB, Nexus, Jenkins)
  • Direct experience with scripting languages (ex: Python, Powershell, Bash)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies and standards (ex: CloudFormation Templates, Terraform)
  • Direct experience leading software development teams with identification, documentation, communication and adherence to coding standards
  • Experience with code coverage tools and automated testing architecture integration into DevOps processes
  • Understanding of agile SW development methodologies and tools (ex: JIRA/Confluence)
  • Experience developing a backlog and technical roadmap
  • Web Application and application workflow experience
  • Experience developing and briefing workflow and wireframe diagrams for both technical and business case stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and prioritize software engineering and architecture requirements for systems
  • Experience with integration of COTS and custom developed solutions
  • Experience as a product owner, systems engineer or architect
  • Preparing presentations and leading/attending technical exchange meetings
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience briefing stakeholders at all levels Preferred Qualifications:
    • An active TS/SCI with a Polygraph
    • DD8570 compliance
    • Experience supporting the NGA customer
    • Experience writing, maintaining, and describing software architecture diagrams and approaches
    • Experience integrating code capabilities into Enterprise-based GITLAB/Nexus/Jenkins across multiple separated environments
    • Experience integrating vendor COTS/GOTS and custom configurations into Cloud DevOps processes
    • Technical certifications including AWS (DevOps Engineer, Systems Architect)
