The Front-End Developer will design and develop complex new software products, or make significant enhancements to existing software. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with significant experience in developing scalable data platforms, with experience in business intelligence, analytics, data science and data products. They must have strong, first hand technical expertise in a variety of big data technologies and the proven ability to fashion robust scalable solutions that can manage large data sets. They must be at ease working in an agile environment with little supervision.

  Develop frontend services in Angular, React, Vue.js, JavaScript, CSS, REST, SQL

  Work as part of an agile team to develop applications using agile methods
  
  
• 
  Flexibly work with front-end technologies to deliver incremental capabilities each development sprint
  
  
• 
  Enhance and harden UI for existing tools and prototypes
  
  
• 
  Support production software operations, test and debug programs
  
  
• 
  Support and extend CI and CD pipeline, including agile DevSecOps best practices
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with clients and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical requirements
  
  
• 
  Lead and mentor junior staff
  
  
• 
  Other duties as assigned

  Experience with Angular/React and JavaScript
  
  
• 
  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent; additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for relevant degree
  
  
• 
  Must be a flexible, creative problem solver, eager to multi-task on a variety of problems and projects in a dynamic environment
  
  
• 
  Strong communication skills (writing, speaking, and listening); ability to articulate solutions and rationale for design decisions, especially in virtual environments.

  Experience maintaining code repositories on GitHub/GitLab
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and technologies
  
  
• 
  TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required #AvantusClearedJob

  Per Executive Order (E0 14042) proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to your start date

  Development experience with federal government customers

  Demonstrated experience using Java, Python, and/or C#/.Net

  Demonstrated experience creating and using SQL (MySQL, PostgreS, etc) and noSQL (Mongo, Graph, etc) based databases

  Previous experience with development in AWS / GovCloud / C2S cloud environment
