Responsibilities

Your efforts will fundamentally change what Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Mission Protection means for our Nation.
Skyfire is an SDA Indications and Warning (I&W) system. Its purpose is, find RSOs of interest, provide data to ground operators, and establish a repository of resident space objects (RSOs). Located in Chantilly, VA, the Skyfire team uses: programitics, sensor modeling, and system engineering expertise to deliver this world-class SDA I&W system. The project follows the Scaled Agile Framework--- (SAFe) Large Solution. This position will require 10% travel. -
Responsibilities

• 
  
• The candidate will be supporting a portfolio of applications across multi-networks
  
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
  
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems availability
  
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks and work with developers to implement those fixes
  
• Trouble-shoot, monitor, and resolve system issues as required to maintain operations
  
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  
• Build, maintain, and deploy client and server systems
  
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  
• Work with an Information Assurance team to ensure compliance with Authorizations to Operate (ATOs)
  
• Duties may include User Admin, Sys Admin, Documentation
  
• Operate and maintain all Production, Pre-Production Windows environments
  
• Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the system is compatible with defined architecture and meets customer needs
  
  Qualifications
  Required Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- Contract requires TS/SCI with poly - The candidate must maintain the clearance. -
    
  • Requires 5 to 8 years systems administration experience
    
  • Experience with distributed computing technologies and with -virtualization/ cloud-based technologies (e.g. OpenStack, Citrix XenServer Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, and/or VMWare), Docker Containers, Ansible, and Heat templates.
    
  • Must hold active Security+ or CISSP
    
  • Experience building and maintaining windows workstations and server
    
  • Experience building and managing an Active Directory
    
  • Experience building and managing a Microsoft Exchange server
    
  • Ability to anticipate problems & take decisive action
    
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
    
  • Must be decisive, conscientious, and interact well in a team environment
    
  • Have a strong desire to learn and be able to follow policies and procedures

      Salary Range Salary Minimum: $57,500 Salary Mid: $115,000 Salary Maximum: $143,800 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees.
