SAIC's National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.


We are seeking a highly motivated Cloud Developer to join our multi-million dollar National Intelligence program supporting the Cloud Investment Multi-Cloud Management (CIMM) team. As a contributor to the Intelligence Community's first multi-cloud initiative, you will be at the epicenter of emergent cloud computing technologies, establishing a foundation that will evolve to include all agencies within the IC. As the Cloud Developer, you will work alongside the development team and advise on the designing, deploying, and maintenance of multiple, fast-turnaround capabilities utilized to perform highly visible and high priority collection efforts. Additionally, you will create, maintain, and perform Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) on deliverables to adapt to changes in a multi-cloud DevSecOps architecture.


Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:


Providing development engineering and programming support to mission supporting applications

Developing, creating, and modifying general computer applications software or specialized utility programs

Analyzing user needs and developing software solutions

Designing software or customizing software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency

May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team

Converting CIMM's multi-cloud management requirement specifications and statements of problems and procedures to detailed logical flow charts for coding into computer language

Developing and writing computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information

Analyzing functional applications and design specifications for functional activities

Developing codes, tests, and debugging new software or enhancements to existing software

Performing maintenance on existing software products and contributing knowledge of mission applications

Writing programs according to specifications needed

Providing technical support in the evaluation of prime object names, data elements, and other objects

Ensuring proposed object definitions are clear, concise, technically correct, and that they represent singular concepts

Ensuring proposed objects are consistent with data and process models

Working with the technical staff to understand problems had with software and then resolving them

Resolving customer complaints with the software and responding to suggestions for improvements and enhancements

Developing block diagrams and logic flow charts

Preparing required documentation


Qualifications


Required Qualifications:


Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

5+ years of demonstrated ability to interpret and convey technical requirements

5+ years of demonstrated ability to translate the Sponsor's needs into efficient, functional code

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain highly fault-tolerant applications and systems

Working knowledge of software redundancy

Working knowledge of software development best practices and ability to apply appropriately

Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options, and implement new ones

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services (This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction)

Ability to work well independently and in a team environment

Excellent verbal and written communications skills


Desired Qualifications:


Certifications in any of the following Cloud Service Providers (CSPs):

AWS

Azure

GCP

IBM

Oracle

Experience with various Linux and Microsoft Windows OSs distributions

Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and databases

Experience migrating both custom built and enterprise apps to and from on-prem to cloud

Experience debugging performance and technical issues

Experience in DevSecOps on a cloud platform

Experience with successful full life cycle cloud development projects

Team player with the ability to collaborate with various enterprise teams (e.g., application, networking, and security), and develop solutions and resolve issues

Ability to translate requirements into end-to-end designs for systems that involve multiple interfaces and supporting data repositories

Experience/Ability to explain technical issues clearly and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences


Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
