Job Description:

Description Leidos is looking for a Technical Operations lead to provide technical oversight across cross-functional system engineering, security, and infrastructure teams. -Lead the development and implementation of critical DevOps pipeline to automated system deployments and future mission objectives.Primary Responsibilities:Security Functions
--- - - -Perform/conduct technical readiness reviews of A&A packages as progressing towards ATO
--- - - -Mentor ISSEs on security best practices and how to apply tailor to end-customer's applications, systems, and environments
--- - - -Instill and reinforce industry best practices in the application, system, and environment security
--- - - -Act as subject matter expert in several security technologies (depth) with ability to lead across project's security domains (breadth)
--- - - -Oversee the Implementation and monitoring of security measures for communication systems, networks, and provide advice that systems and personnel adhere to established security standards and Governmental requirements
--- - - -Ensure compliance with standards and policies, provide subject matter expertise on the practical application and implementation of best practices in an enclave environment
--- - - -Recommend additional solutions or enhancements to existing applications and services to improve overall project security posture.
System Engineering Function
--- - - -Perform technology liaison leadership to facilitate, collaborate, and integrate impactful and advanced technical solutions
--- - - -Establish SE processes, select and deploy tools to accomplish analysis, problem diagnosis and solution design, integration and test preparation, risk assessment and mitigation planning, and related activities
--- - - -Analyze and provide recommendations, to include new processes to complex, difficult, and time sensitive issues and problems.
--- - - -Define and manage all operations-related processes for the sustainment of the operational application, system, and environment baselines
--- - - -Design, develop or recommend integrated system solutions ensuring proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected
--- - - -Provide hands-on engineering and technical leadership for overall planning and implementation tasksArchitecture Function
--- - - -Oversee the development and integration across multiple work streams from initial research to requirements, implementation, and sustainment
--- - - -Provide expertise to ensure innovative ideas and emerging technologies are aligned with customer needs
--- - - -Promote and drive implementation of automation and process efficiencies
--- - - -Assist team in capturing current state of environments and updating respective architecture diagrams
--- - - -Monitor the operations and maintenance of the infrastructure and make recommendations to improve operations
--- - - -Provide visionary leadership to identify grand ideas that are achievable and practical supporting the government's need to become more efficient by reducing redundancy and reducing manual processes
--- - - -Lead change, problem and incident management concepts by employing methodologies (e.g. ITIL, COBIT), defense in depth, and best practices
--- - - -Develop a strong technical understanding of all enterprise solutions and services with a keen eye on their security issues and challenges.
Administrative Function
--- - - -Engaging with subject matter experts for assignments and monitoring work activities.
--- - - -Managing projects to successful completion, meeting schedule deadlines, service levels, and performance targeted. -
--- - - -Ability to value stream map capabilities of existing and future technologies with direct mission need and against evolving roadmaps
--- - - -Facilitate cross-team collaboration across project/organization
--- - - -Provide technical execution oversight to operations during times of need
--- - - -Assist with managing a tier 3 team that is available on demand for critical and high operational incidents
--- - - -Organize, lead, and design cross-team tabletop exercises/technical exchange meetings to facilitate solution brainstorming
--- - - -Develop a strong working relationship with the enterprise technical operations team to efficiently collaborate on modernization effortsBasic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of related experience. Work experience can be used/combined with education
  • Must have a TS/SCI with poly to be considered
  • Understand the relationship between applications, operating systems, hardware and software
  • Experience in total system design
  • AWS experience
  • Experience leading teams in security, system engineering and Tier 1-3 levels
  • Familiarity briefing operational metrics or incident status to leadership and customer stakeholders
  • Experience with engagement on technical TEMs and oversight of implementation of key enterprise milestones and deliveryPay Range:Pay Range $118,300.00 - $182,000.00 - $245,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only -and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
