Job Description:

Gridiron IT is seeking a Python Developer local to Chantilly, VA with an active Top Secret Clearance.
**This position comes with an automatic $5k sign on bonus to be paid after the 45th day of employment**

• Apply advanced skills in Python to develop capabilities as desired by the Government. Provide technical expertise to other team members as needed in order to define and resolve technical problems as needed and meet program deadlines.
• Experienced in information system design, including application programming on large-scale database management services and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives.
• Will analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas and develop block diagrams and logic flow charts.
• Will translate detailed designs into computer software.
• Will test, fix, and refine the computer software to produce the required product.
• Will prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
• Will enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. Requirements
  • Working knowledge and experience with coding in Python and experience with Linux
  • Ability to work in an operational environment where priorities change frequently
  • Proficient at gathering and interpreting relevant data and information
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, good customer relationship skills, especially in a highly dynamic environment
  • Experience with Agile SDLC, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Hadoop/Spark/HBase
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
  • Experience with MySQL, Elastic Search, Data Visualization technologies or similar
