This Project Management, System Engineering Technical Advisor
(SETA) position, supports the Intelligence Community (IC) client's
Communications Directorate, Hosting Service Group (HSG), Data
Center Management Division (DMD). Using a technical advisory
approach, provides project management experience and system
engineering background to support data center initiatives through
their entire life cycle. Provides management support in the
following areas of responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
+ Apply system engineering knowledge and project management
background to help client manage and oversee data center
projects
+ Review, track and report on DMD initiatives
+ Keep client informed on status
+ Prepare materials for, and supporting review boards and other
meetings
+ Assist the client to maintain and manage group budgets
+ Provide recommendations to the client to improve outcomes
+ Coordinate development of standards, practices, and procedures,
as needed
+ Act as customer liaison between contractors and the government
for activities related to data center initiatives
+ Work with multi-discipline engineering teams
+ Participate in design, readiness, testing and other reviews
+ Maintain strategic documents
+ Requires 8 to 10 years experience with BS/BA 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD
3-5
+ Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI w/ Poly
+ Bachelors degree preferably in science or engineering
+ 5-7+ years of experience providing PM and engineering support for
large projects
+ Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
+ Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
+ Knowledge of current data center concepts/technologies,
preferred
