Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Description: Join one of the
most innovative, forward-thinking law firms in the country. As a
member of the Saxton & Stump team, you’ll be joining a culture of
excellence and teamwork, mixed with a strong focus on investing in
our team and the community. We understand that the new legal
environment requires a different type of approach to all aspects of
the business, and we’ve built that into the way we recruit, the way
we structure our team, and the way we value customer service.
Saxton & Stump seeks an associate attorney to join our busy Death
Care group (that’s not a typo). This multi-disciplinary practice
works with small businesses – like funeral homes, cemeteries, and
crematories – who care for the dead and their loved ones. This is a
unique opportunity to learn a niche area of law while working on
sophisticated regulatory and transactional matters and helping
client decisionmakers solve real world problems. We know you
probably don’t have death care experience (though that would be
great), but exposure to diverse areas of the law and background in
corporate law and M&A, highly regulated industries, estate
planning, or a broad-based business litigation practice would be
most helpful. More important for this position are excellent
judgment, initiative and a desire to learn, pride in your work, and
dedication to client service. Our Death Care group is buried in
work (pun intended), and we need your help to continue to grow. The
Chair of the group will make a substantial investment in hands-on
mentoring and professional development and is seeking an attorney
who is committed to learning and growing with this practice. The
ideal candidate would be based in our Harrisburg office, but highly
qualified candidates will be considered at any of our firm’s
locations. Key Responsibilities Death Care & Compliance Focus ·

professional licensing, investigations and discipline, proactive

Transactional & Corporate Work · Support business acquisitions and
sales, including conducting due diligence, drafting and reviewing

and coordinating transaction timelines. · Assist with entity
formation and restructuring, including drafting and revising
formation and governance documents, and corporate compliance. ·
Support client succession planning and estate planning. ·
Negotiate, draft, and review commercial contracts. Requirements: ·
J.D. from an accredited law school. · Admission to the Pennsylvania
Bar or eligibility for admission. · 2–4 years’ experience in a
corporate, transactional, estate, or broad-based litigation
practice preferred. · Strong background or demonstrated interest in
business-focused practice and highly regulated industries. ·
Outstanding judgment and problem-solving skills. · Ability to
manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced
environment. · Commitment to producing high-quality work and
delivering exceptional client service. Saxton & Stump offers a

including medical, dental, and vision insurance (which start day
one of employment), a 401k plan, and the opportunity for
