DIRECTOR - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Job Description:

Identify and assist with developingstrategic relationships with potential teaming partners or clients within thegovernment sector (Federal/State/Local). Manage the marketing, sales and product development teams to implementbusiness development initiatives. Lead/Supportthe identification of potential teaming partners and development of proposalsand other business development related activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

BA/BS degree in technicalfield (Engineering, Science) with a minimumten (10) to fifteen (15) years of progressively increasing experience in thedirect field of government sales, marketing, and business development.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Proven history of maturity in personnel guidance, team building and direction.

Demonstrated history identifying and capturing work in the government sector which compliments AAC’s core competencies.

Expert knowledge with government acquisition processes to include contract procedures, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFI), etc.

Demonstrated knowledge of RFP requirements dissection and industry standard proposal development procedures and processes.

Detailed knowledge of organization's operations, capabilities and personnel.

Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.

Ability to maintain positive team influence in demanding and stressful situations.

Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.

Proven expertise in written document preparation and review as well as integration of written customer presentations from a management and technical perspective.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Expert skills inAdobe Acrobat and MS Office 2016. Experience in Adobe Photoshop preferred.

· Ability tointerface successfully with a variety of people including management, generalstaff, clients, state/government representatives, etc.

Creativity, resourcefulness and the use of original ideas.

· Excellentorganizational skills are a must.

Demonstrate interpersonal skills and proficiency in business vocabulary to effectively represent the company to outside parties.

Demonstrate attention to detail and decision-making skills to respond to high-pressure situations.

Ability to interpret trends, define problems, conceptualize solutions and convert to practical applications.

Ability to work as a self-starter, take initiative, and execute tasks with minimal supervision.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Abilityto work extended hours, without little notice, as may be necessary. Ability to travel as needed to meet withcurrent and potentially new clients, provide proposal support as well assupport at conferences, trade shows, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Backgroundpreferably in the government (Federal/State/Local) environmental market. DOD/USACE experience highly desired.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Develop and administer database of current and potential clientele; conduct research of potential new clients.

Conduct searches of federal/state/local procurement websites; pre-qualify opportunity and forward as appropriate.

· Makerecommendations to strategic plans and reviews.

· Sustainrapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; explore specific needs;anticipate new business opportunities.

Maintain log of JV bids submitted with teaming partners.

Develop, monitor, and track revenue and expenses for sales budget. Make adjustments and/or recommendations as needed.

Review RFPs; form a detailed outline and issue to proposal team.

Schedule/host proposal kick-off meeting and follow-up conference calls.

As Capture Manager, assign writing assignments and issue data calls/due dates to proposal team members ensuring deadlines are met.

Submit questions to contracting officers regarding RFPs. Capture all documents sent from team members for proposal sections; assist with formatting all documents for final product.

Compile data and submit sources-sought and prequalification responses for upcoming procurements.

· Communications : Ability to read scientific and technical businessdocuments. Ability to write businesscorrespondence. Ability to editcorrespondence for grammar and punctuation. Ability to speak clearly and distinctly using appropriate vocabulary andgrammar.

· Skill Sets : Ability to perform advanced mathematicalcalculations .

· Reasoning Skills : Ability to define problems and collect data.Abilityto problem-solve; solutions drivenapproach. Ability to define specificproblems and offer viable solutions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods oftime. Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.

Ability to perform repetitive movements of the fingers, hands, wrists and arms.

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance.

Daily interface with executive and senior management, general staff, clients, and government entities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job,the employee is exposed to normal office conditions. The noise level in the work environment isusually moderate. Frequent travel isrequired.
