Job Description :

We are searching for a Director of Contracts who will be responsible for the overall contract management activities associated with our Department of Defense prime contracts and subcontracts. This position provides a great opportunity to work with an experienced team in a fast-growing company with a high-paced environment. The position may be based in Atlanta or the National Capital Region, with a team located at multiple sites including Chantilly, Frederick, and Atlanta.

Job Responsibilities :

The Director of Contracts will provide leadership, management oversight, and direction to the Contracts team in Atlanta, GA and Chantilly, VA. This leadership position sets the direction and provides guidance to a team of Contracts professionals managing a variety of contract types and customers, primarily DoD (Army) and prime contractors and subcontractors. He/she will participate in key, high level discussions and will also provide counsel and assistance on contractual matters. The candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent problem solving, interpersonal, communication, management and organizational skills.

Job Description :

Management of all Contracts Department staff and activities

Monitor company performance for conformance to original proposals and maintains continual reviews to ensure all terms and conditions are met and contract is in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications and government regulations.

Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification, and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies

Manage the review and approval of all contract/subcontract modifications

Management and execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements

Conduct and coordinate negotiations of complex, high-dollar contracts requiring a high degree of negotiation expertise with Contract Managers

Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of company policies and procedures, commercial contracting methods, export control, FAR / DFARS, and other Government regulations

Responsible for monitoring performance of assigned scope within contractual boundaries, company expectations, and established standards based on contractual commitments including financial, quality, technical, and schedule

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in business

10+ years' experience in a Contacts Administration / Management capacity

Experience working with FAR / DFARS, NDAs, Teaming Agreements

Experience working with the Army, DoD contracting offices, and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)

In depth knowledge of risk identification and risk mitigation

Professional experience with negotiations and interface with customers and government contracting offices

Experience addressing Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements and development of proposals. Prepare an analysis of proposal packages including recommendations for negotiation strategies for final decision and strategy formulation

Experience interfacing and communicating with all levels within an organization as well as with a large external customer base

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and SalesForce.

Security Requirements : Secret

Travel Requirement : Up to 10%

Desired Qualifications : Professional contracts certification (CPCM, CFCM)

Ability to work independently, demonstrating sound business judgment, in high demand environment

Problem solving, decision making, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to deal tactfully and confidently with internal and external customers at all organizational levels in independent and often demanding situations

Ability to think strategically, critically and analyze details for achieving program objectives

Set clear expectations. Maintain regular dialogue regarding goals, standards, methods and performance

Identify and implement process improvements

Ability and skills to lead the contracting staff to meet the needs of the company and existing contracts.
