DefenseThe Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities:--The selected Systems Architect will support a new program at Perspecta, focused on Architecture development of a new Space Domain architecture. --The SA will establish the technical baseline including all cross-space and ground segment interfaces and to lower levels for interfaces considered to be key; Support architecture baseline development for the Segments by drawing upon available CONOPS, lower-level requirements, ICDs; Identify disconnects between segments and external agencies, and notify mission integration team for closure; Develop and maintain use cases, mission threads, and operational scenarios mapping to SDA end-to-end systems requirements and verification; Create, define, deliver, and maintain a set of architecture products (DoDAF-like products) necessary to perform mission and system integration across the segments and Contractors; --Use change management software to mitigate the risk of unauthorized and unplanned changes to the architecture baseline, including document content and the associated links; Analyze proposals, changes, and modifications to the current architecture to determine the impact on technical baselines, schedules, and other activities; Perform analysis in response to requested changes, addressing flow-down, and changes to systems engineering products such as ICDs and verification plans; Maintain interface control for all ICDs/ISs that involve interaction between segments, contractors, or external agencies; --perform an impact analysis of any Contractor engineering change proposal (ECP) including impacts to external stakeholders.--General description:-- Applies technical knowledge to assist clients in the design and development of solutions to complex technical engineering and applications problems, network challenges, or system administration issues. Establishes the basic structure of the system, defines essential core design features and elements that provide the framework. Incorporates engineering strategies for introducing new technology into the customer's infrastructure related to its business processes of collection, analysis, production, and dissemination. Performs cost-benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components. Applies knowledge of enterprise IT or engineering needs to design improved processes, generate valid requirements, and ensures that these are consistent with the customer's enterprise technical architecture. May participate in business development activities.
Qualifications

Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.

• Experience required supporting similar Space Domain architectures to develop and maintain the architecture baseline
• Must be proficient in use of the Cameo modeling suite; Model User (or higher) certification is preferred
• Ability to travel as needed to Government sites, Ground sites and development contractor locations
• Minimum TS Clearance required
