We are seeking a 2021 summer intern for our program supporting Perspecta's Civilian State and Local (CSL) Group in Chantilly, Virginia. As an intern, you will work with the Program Management Office for a key CSL program on an end-to-end project to automate resource reporting and allocation process for the project workforce of employees and contractors. Experience all phases of the project lifecycle including requirements, design, development, testing, documentation, and implementation. Use BI and automation tools to collect and analyze data, provide visual representations of data, gain insights into potential problems and solutions to business operations, and communicate these insights to relevant stakeholders. The skills and experiences you will gain from a summer internship at Perspecta will be highly sought after throughout the industry and give you the opportunity for the career of a lifetime.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Program Management Office for one of Perspecta's critical programs to gather requirements Integrate data from multiple internal systems including Workday, vendorcontractor management systems, and SharePoint and aggregate data as required to construct streamlined data pipelines Set up cloud environment and develop code to manipulate data using BI and automation tools Identify key metrics and build dashboards to track resource allocation Make data visually appealing and simple to both navigate and comprehend for end-users Identify insights from reporting and communicate key findings to the PMO team to facilitate data driven decision-makingQualificationsStrong analytical skills and superior attention to detail. Exemplary problem solving skills and ability to take initiative. Experience with SharePoint workflow and development. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams Experience with analytical software (Power BI, advanced Excel) Experience with automation software (Power Automation, UiPath) is a plus Experience with coding (Python, Java, SQL) is a plus Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native analytics and ML services is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Advantages to interning with Perspecta Meaningful work related to supporting the Federal Government Competitive pay Interaction with executives Organized professional development and social activities Additional Internship Information This ten-week paid internship program. We ask that each intern be available to work the duration of the ten weeks and commit to working a minimum of 35 hours per week. This program is geared towards technical college students that actively enrolled at an accredited university, who are rising into their senior year. Sophomores may be considered if they have declared their major and have qualified coursework. Our intern program is designed to provide college students the opportunity to learn about Perspecta and gain meaningful, hands-on work experience in a professional environment. We place an emphasis on developing the next generation's workforce. You will be assigned a manager and mentor. As part of our internship curriculum we provide the opportunity for each intern to interact with various organizations within the company. This includes the chance to participate in a corporate public speaking exercise, complete technical training courses, attend brown bag sessions with our executive leadership team and participate in teambuilding activities with mentors and fellow interns.
