River Shared Servicesis looking for anIT Support Specialist to set
up equipment for employee use; resolve problems; answer questions
raised by users regarding software or hardware; ensure proper
installation of cables, operating systems or appropriate software.
The IT Support Specialist is located in Chantilly, VA and will
report to the Director of IT.Provides support via phone, e-mail and
messaging platforms to employeesProvides support for Microsoft
Operating Systems (Windows 10, 11)Provides support for Microsoft
Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office365) Provides
support for mobile devices including configuration and email
syncHandles 50-60 issues per day efficiently and appropriately
Maintains regular and punctual attendanceUtilizes Active
Directory/Azure AD database to reset network passwords Assists
users in adding and changing network printers Provides technical
support for VPN connectivity issues Controls user's computers
utilizing remote access tools Troubleshoots remote access
connectivity problemsMaintains a working knowledge of applicable
Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as policies
and procedures of Copper River in order to ensure adherence in a
manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional
behaviorsSupports and conducts self in a manner consistent with
client service expectationsPerform system maintenance
activitiesMaintain record of daily data communication transactions,
problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities by
using the Helpdesk systemRead technical manuals, confer with users,
and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve
problems and to provide technical assistance and supportConfer with
staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new
systems or modificationsPrepare evaluations of software or
hardware, and recommend improvements or upgradesAnswer users'
inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to
resolve problemsEducation:High school diploma; prefer Associates
degree in CIS, MCP and some progressively related help desk
experience or any combination of education, training and experience
which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to
perform the essential functions of the jobRequired
Knowledge/Experience:One (1) year experience in call center or
service desk environment Knowledge of various PC hardware and
software applications including Operating Systems: Windows 10,
11User on-boarding/terminations (tasks/requests)Cloud support -
multiple device data syncingZendesk or other ticketing systems
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office365, Outlook, SharePoint Effective
troubleshooting and documentation skills Experience navigating a
knowledgebase Proficient use of Microsoft Office
applicationsPreferred Knowledge/Experience: Computing Technology
Industry Association (CompTIA) A+ CompTIA Network+Information
Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) FoundationsComputer
Specialist Certification Help Desk Analyst CertificationPhysical
Requirements: Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy
objectsPerform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives
of the department/contractPerform other duties as assignedMust
