Job Description:

**Arlluk Technology Solutions,** a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced **Senior Appian Developer** to support **ATS** and our government customer. **_This is a remote opportunity._**

**Position Summary:**

As a Senior Appian Developer, you will be part of an Agile development team with a passion for supporting an Enterprise Level Application.

**Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:**

+ This section is used to describe what knowledge, skills, and abilities that are not required of the position.

+ Focus on business logic and process flow, working the design and development of business logic, process models/flow and UI screens to implement in a BPM (Business Process Management) - based system.

+ Work closely with Business Analyst to investigate customer's requirements, prototype business solutions, and validate user story acceptance criteria.

+ Coordinate closely with team members to ensure proper implementation of fixes, unit testing and configuration management.

+ Review Appian development and sign-off on design and implementation.

+ Develop and maintain Appian Business Process Management (BPM) solutions, including plug-in development.

+ Develop Structured Query Language (SQL), update data models and implement common database best practices (indexes, triggers, and data structure).

+ Unit testing, technical problem determination and debugging.

+ Manage daily work in Atlassian suite of applications (Jira, Confluence, Bittbucket and Bamboo).

+ Coordinate with DevOps team member to ensure timely and reliable release to customer.

+ Ensure software maintains data integrity, security, and best practice standards.

+ Mentor junior BPM developers to improve capabilities of the team.

**Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**

+ 6+ years of Appian software development experience.

+ Experience in BPM (Appian, JBoss BPMS, Activiti, Oracle or IBM BPM, Pega, etc.).

+ Current Appian credentials as Designer, Lead Designer or Developer.

+ Using one or more Appian add-on tools, such as Expression Unit Tests, Deployment Automation Manager, FitNesse test creation, SAIL UI and Smart Services. Appian 7.x/20.x version design, implementation and ability to translate software requirements specifications into Appian applications and prototype.

+ Knowledge of Appian software design, web development and design languages. Understanding and hands-on experience with Agile software development methodologies. Strong desire to learn customer business processes.

+ Strong analytical, communication skills.

+ Highly adaptable to rapidly changing environments and situations.

+ Effectively prioritizes work and has well-honed problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to attain Federal Government Position of Trust.

+ Must be a U.S. citizen, foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States or resident alien. Must pass a background investigation.

+ Must have, or be able to attain, an 8750 Compliant Security Certification (CASP CE, CISSP (associate)), within 6 months of hire.

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

**Working Environment & Conditions**

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
