Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and
customer-oriented SharePoint/System Engineer to join our team in
ManTech Chantilly location.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing hardware/operational support across VMWare server and
virtual networking areas and internal cloud platform to ensure
superior customer experience.
- Participating in internal projects that help scale the
environment and help implement best practices to improve the
overall methodology of operational support.
- Assuring systems availability for the VMWare platform and
associated components through the use of vRealize Operations
Manager and LogInsight and reporting for confirmation,
troubleshooting, and capacity planning
- Designing and deploying enterprise class SAN deployments and
backup infrastructures, including Data-at-Rest, preferable
knowledge in HPE Simplivity, Synergy, StoreOnce, and CommVault
Backup and Recovery
- Responsible for the ongoing support of the Commvault Data
Protection service offerings. Day to day task will consist of
troubleshooting backup failures, responding to client request, and
ensuring the health of the data protection infrastructure.
- Assisting Service Operations teams diagnose and resolve the
toughest performance, security, and/or technical challenges related
to desktop support and deployments
- Providing direction and guidance to less experienced systems
engineers
- Responsible for investigating and resolving operational
problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical
personnel.
- Providing IT Systems Engineering support on a wide range of
technologies, including: Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint,
Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Office, BMC Client Management and
FootPrints, Internet Explorer/Edge/Chrome browsers, Adobe Acrobat,
CommVault Backup and Recovery, customer line-of-business
applications, VMware vCenter, Site Recovery Manager, Operations
Manager, LogInsight, HPAC Secure Printing, HP Blade Servers, HPE
SANs, Certificate Services, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group
Policies and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
- Other tasks may include requirements specification, performance
modeling, end-to-end functional analysis, cost estimation, and
joint application design.
- Working on project teams responsible for engineering and
packaging releases to integrate within the customer's production IT
environment.
- Participating in technology evaluation and reengineering teams
to support strategy-definition and continuous process improvement
activities.
- Developing, enhancing, and maintaining security application of
Sentris
- Ensuring that the organization's data and infrastructure are
protected by enabling the appropriate Cyber security controls.
- Leveraging multiple security and other specialties to address
all feasible solutions to deliver a trustworthy secure system.
- Adhering to firm Change Management, Problem Management policies
and familiarity with ITIL or other formalized IT operations
foundations
- Ensuring all parts of the infrastructure follow
patching/hardening requirements.
- Maintaining system baselines and configuration management
items, including security event monitoring policies
- Providing security considerations to inform systems engineering
efforts with the objective to reduce errors, flaws, and weakness
that may constitute security vulnerability leading to unacceptable
asset loss and consequences.
- Identifying, quantifying, and evaluating the costs/benefits of
security functions and considerations to inform analysis of
alternatives, engineering trade-offs, and risk treatment decisions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or 7+ years of relevant IT experience
- 5+ years of experience as an enterprise systems administrator
in a client or server environment, including deployment automation
tools.
- DoD 8570 Certification required (IAT Level II required / IAT
Level III desired) with computing domain certification.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows based systems including
Hardware, software, networking, and storage
- Willingness to work after normal duty hours (nights and
weekends) as needed.
- SharePoint Expertise:
- Advanced knowledge of SharePoint architecture, configuration,
and administration.
- Experience with SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2016/2019, and
SharePoint Designer.
- Proficiency in creating and managing site collections, lists,
libraries, workflows, and web parts.
- Skilled in SharePoint customization using PowerShell,
SharePoint Framework (SPFx), and other development tools.
- Expertise in integrating SharePoint with other Microsoft 365
services and third-party applications.
- SQL Skills:
- Strong understanding of SQL Server administration, including
installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures,
and functions.
- Experience with SQL performance tuning, indexing, and
optimization.
- Knowledge of database backup, restoration, and disaster
recovery practices.
- Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL
Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- System Engineering:
- Experience in designing and implementing scalable and secure IT
infrastructure.
- Proficiency in managing Windows Server environments, including
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or
Nutanix.
- Scripting and Automation:
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python,
or Bash.
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks to streamline
IT operations and improve efficiency.
- Security and Compliance:
- Knowledge of IT security principles, risk management, and
compliance requirements.
- Experience with implementing security measures and conducting
vulnerability assessments.
- Documentation:
- Ability to create comprehensive technical documentation and
user guides.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining
accurate records and documentation. Preferred Qualifications:
- SharePoint Backend experience
- Nutanix experience
- ITIL v4.0 or Foundation Certifications highly desired Physical
Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of
the time.
- Must be able to move about inside the office to access file
cabinets, office machinery.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with
co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering
presentations.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these
situations.
- Must be able to observe and detect employee deviations from
established policy. Security Clearance Requirements:
- Active TS with SCI clearance adjudicated within the past 6
years. Candidate must be open to CI poly. Physical Requirements:
