- Build on existing globally dispersed hosting platform to
enhance hosting services and automation for future deployments and
site migrations.
- Develop the Global Hosting Platform hosted on Nutanix software
to support other core enterprise environments / domains to enhance
hosting services and migration in the other domains.
- Extend Ansible automation to provide end-to-end virtual machine
provisioning on existing global hosting Nutanix platform.
- Revise and maintain system configurations and infrastructure
build-out documentation.
- Comply with IT governance architecture standards and sponsor
guidelines.
- Provide operations and maintenance (O&M) support for the
new hosting platform solutions.
- Develop and implement existing and future client, AWS, and
cloud requirements (e.g., automation vs. orchestration, node
clustering, Field O&M, service monitoring, etc.)
- Align client headquarters and field hosting architecture and
technologies
- Collaborate and communicate with internal and external service
provider partners in support of projects and programs
- Communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Monitor the performance of field systems and analyze the
metrics produced to identify areas for improvement and report
anomalies
- Emergency after-hours support as needed
- Potential travel to field sitesABCRequired Education,
Experience, & Skills
- Candidate must have one of the following: 7 years of
job-related experience and Doctorate degree; 9 years of job-related
experience and Master's degree; or 11 years of job-related
experience and Bachelor's degree
- On the job experience with hypervisor environments to include
VMware, Hyper V, and AHV
- On the job experience with HCI deployments, transitions from
legacy platforms and sustainment administration, preferably
Nutanix
- On the job experience with globally dispersed hosting platforms
across network-constrained environments
- DevOps experience
- Experience enabling and implementing full automation of remote
HCI platform builds and configurations over the wire.
- Ability to test and deploy custom infrastructure as code using
tools such as Jenkins, Github, Ansible, and Powershell.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Windows technology and emerging capabilities
(e.g., DNS, Active Directory, DHCP, Windows 10, Windows
2016/2019/2022 Servers, etc.)Preferred Education, Experience, &
Skills
- Experience with FSA, RSA2 and Aegis hosting platforms
- Proficiency with configuration management tools
- Expert understanding of DevOps practices and ability to
engineer within an Agile framework
- Experience with documenting concepts of operations and
standards of practice for tiered maintenance support
- Experience with Nutanix applications and concepts such as
Nutanix Flow, Move, Prism, or Project.
- Experience preparing technical documentation (requirements and
design) for complex systems
- Experience with object oriented programming
- Experience with Aegis hosting platforms
- VMware vRealize Suite, vSphere 6.0+
- Hyper converged infrastructure and or software defined data
center technologiesPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $140690 -
$239140Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
