Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics. Ensures requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods. Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development. Designs interfaces and brings system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements. Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts. Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower level detailed requirements. Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures. Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.Specific Job Description:We are seeking a highly technical, proactive, engineer with demonstrated analytical thinking capability and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in computer science, applied physics, and optical engineering. It is expected that the ideal candidate will interface with senior level customers on a daily basis, therefore strong interpersonal skills are a must. The environment is fast paced and dynamic, so the candidate must not only be comfortable with change, but also embrace change. Travel will be required for this position approximately 20% of the time.Qualifications:Requires 2 to 5 years with BS/BA or 0 to 2 years with MS/MA/MBA or 8 to 10 years with no degree.BS in Engineering or Science.Required Skills:- Bachelor---s degree in Engineering, Computer Science- Excellent written and verbal communications skills- 3+ years of professional engineering experience - 2+ years of project management experience- 2+ years of working in a customer facing role- 2+ years Model Based Systems Engineering - 2+ years C/C++, Lua, Python, SQL, Java, - 2+ years using scripting languages (Perl, Poweshell, Phython, - 2+ years Operating Systems and embedded systems-- - Nuclear sensing technologies, wave propagation, and related optical applications - AC/DC circuit fundamentals-- - Physics - Propagation modeling- TS/SCI with Poly requiredDesired Skills:- Master---s degree in Engineering- Develop interface controls for system of systems- Experience developing software defined ratios and integration-- - Familiarity/exposure to Service Oriented Architecture- Systems Engineering- Space systems application and calculating link budget measurements - Experience developing system acquisition documentation to include Statement of Work, Systems Requirements Documents, Acceptance Test Plan, Interface Control Documents and RFI development. - 2+ years of supporting the IC
