Responsibilities: -- Development, modification, execution and analysis of Electro-optical Payload models. Successful candidates must be able to work both independently and in a team environment supporting multiple programs in various stages of the program life cycle from initial concept development through all phase of acquisition including design development, unit/payload level test, payload initialization, routine operations and anomaly identification/resolution. Qualifications: -- * Must currently hold a TS/SCI clearance. CI or Full Scope Poly highly desirable. * Successful candidates must have in depth experience with all physics based attributes (e.g. F number, Optical Q factor, SNR, wave front error, Point-spread Functions) of Electro-optical imaging and spectro-radiometric payloads from the visible to long wave infrared regions of the EM spectrum, how these attributes relate to NIIRS and spectral exploitability factors * Successful candidates must have modeling experience with Scan and framing array technology and how these technologies impact imaging processing and formation * Candidates must be able to describe/model the tradeoff between integration time and smear along with processing techniques to compensate for the undesirable effects of over-integrating * Modeling of EO payload attributes in Matlab is a must have and experience with Java or C++ is desirable * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, Aerospace or related discipline * Senior level candidates should possess a related advanced degree * Experience working in the space industry, including working directly with DoD, IC, and industry partners * Proficient in collaborating with a number of technical and programmatic personnel in resolving complex challenges Security Requirements: -- Must currently hold a TS/SCI clearance.
