Job Description:

Save Education - Bachelor's Degree - High School Diploma or GED Skills - Time Management - Writing Skills - Microsoft Word - Adobe Acrobat - Microsoft Office AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Word Processor for immediate employment in the Chantilly, VA office. This is a part-time position with variable hours. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Work with Project Managers to plan and schedule project deliverables to ensure deadlines are met + Communicate priorities and scheduling conflicts to Supervisors and Project Managers, and reach out to admin support for itional coverage when appropriate + Correct grammatical/spelling errors + Complete documents production tasks + Support Project coordinators with Document Control tasks + Work with GIS & CAD staff to coordinate inclusion of figures in reports + Store all project files systematically based on electronic files storage guidelines Format reports by: +ing template styles to text and tables in Microsoft Word as well as Excel + Captioning figures, tables, and appendices, and photographs and inserting cross-references + Compiling report components in to PDF files, with bookmarks and pagination to create print-ready files Verify acronyms and references by: + Ensuring acronyms are spelled out only on first occurrence and that they are correctly defined in the document's acronym list + Verifying that references are correctly cited in text and in the reference list + Researching missing references using the Master Reference list or asking the authoring team to provide the document information Minimum Requirements + 2 years of Word Processing editing experience + 2 years of document production experience + 2 years of basic graphics experience + High school diploma + US Citizenship is required, due to the nature of the work Preferred Qualifications + Associates or BA in English or equivalent + 2+ years of experience as a word processor preferably in an environmental environment + Friendly, positive attitude + Ability to adapt to change (flexible) + Ability to work in a deadline driven environment + Strong writing skills (evaluated based on writing sample) + Skill knowledge in all Microsoft Suite applications including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Outlook 365 and PowerPoint + Expertise in MS Word to perform Word Processing and formatting of page layouts, bullets/number lists, page numbers, creating a table of contents, page footers + Basic level of fluency in Excel for basic formatting, printing, converting to pdf files, (not calculations) + Proficient in Adobe Acrobat (Edit/change/convert files) + Must be able to produce cover and spines for report binders, as well as tab creation for plan/report production + Strong organization, prioritizing, and time management skills + Possess creative and time saving skills that offer Project Managers valuable support to produce professional and dynamic materials + Comfortable working with other department administrative staff as part of a larger Administrative Team + Ability to work independently + Your main role will be to support the technical staff in producing and finalizing client documentation + Be able to produce paper copies and CDs of technical reports + Must be able to maintain corporate standards in all documentation, ensuring document control and management, creating forms, questionnaires and client specific literature + Attention to detail is a must What We Offer When you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future .
