Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Sr level Business Analyst to support their organizationb in the creation, implementation, and ongoing support of their PMO - aka Project Management Office - and all associated documents and software.The candidate will be responsible for creating, leading, analyzing, and optimizing core business processes and integrations. This person will work closely with business stakeholders to gain an in-depth understanding of the overall business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the context in which the department operates. This person needs to be well adept to/ and have a full understanding of documenting capabilities needed to address business challenges and be able to disseminate that information to the other analysts, developers, and project leaders.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Information Systems and appliesthis to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.
Leads or participates in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing internal and external relationships.
Provides leadership to team members and peers, so must be personable and able to work well with others in a highly collaborative environment
Ability to eloquently articulate ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and others; identifying and initiating projects; managing resources; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results.
Identifies, creates, and facilitates process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones, and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies.
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Provides project-level analysis producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan).
In conjunction with Project Management creates and maintains project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time and resources, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts.
Collaborates closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to QAs/Testers during the QA (Quality Assurance)process.
Assesses business processes and system inefficiencies. Identifies and recommends process improvement opportunities, both proactive and reactive.
Identifies ways to increase Digital Banking adoption and member satisfaction.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of core system (Episys Core) and other related systems and services offered by the organization.
Responsible for attending required compliance and regulatory training.
Responsible for compliance with all Federal regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills.
Must be able to work effectively with diverse internal and external contacts.
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail/follow-through.
Excellent research, analytical, and problem resolution skills to include determining root cause, scope, and scale of issues.
Experience in working within an Agile Project (Agile/Scrum Software Development) Project Environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Visio. Experience with SQL for data analytics is preferred.
Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs., as needed. Requires extended periods of sitting and to be able to use PC, copier, scanner, fax etc.
Must be able to maintain a consistent, high-level of integrity and ethical behavior in any/allactions and/orconversations with employees (stakeholders)and vendors regarding the organizations'members and their account(s); complies with privacy act directives.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Business, Business Administration, Computer Science, IT,or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
Experience with System Administration preferred.
8-10 of related, IT experience.
Experience working in a financial institution, preferably a credit union.
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or other equivalent certification preferred.
