Job Overview
Summary/Objective
The Roadside Assistance Technician operates a service vehicle (tow
truck wheel lift or light service truck) and responds to dispatched
roadside assistance calls that require a tow, jump start, lock-
out, fuel replenishment, tire change and other minor mechanical
assistance.

Work Environment/ Physical Demands
Primarily works in an automotive environment. Workspace may involve
various weather conditions such as heat and cold as well as safety
hazards due to the nature of work. May experience loud noise on a
regular basis.
Medium/Heavy Work-Will lift over 50 pounds with assistance device
required and/or frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up
to or over 35 pounds with assistance device available as
needed.
This position will require the employee to be standing for
prolonged periods of time
This position requires the ability to push, pull, stoop, kneel,
reach, grasp, and walk on a regular basis
This position involves repetitive motion
This position requires the ability to communicate verbally and
nonverbally
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. Safe working knowledge of shop
tools and equipment.
Automotive technical school or 1 year of experience driving
commercial or towing vehicles and effective communication
skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
2-5 Years of collision repair experience.
I-CAR or ASE Certifications are a bonus.

Valid Driver's License

The essential functions of this position require a person to work
with hazardous or flammable materials; AND/OR to complete tasks in
which a lapse of attention could result in injury, including
without limitation the operating, repairing, maintaining, or
monitoring of heavy equipment, machinery, or motor vehicles.
