Job Description:
Position SummaryThis position requires initiative, motivation,
problem-solving skills and a strong practical background in
mechanical, electrical, and construction concepts. Responsibilities
include fabrication, assembly, troubleshooting and testing of
electrical/mechanical systems and systems of varying complexity.
This position requires a high degree of interaction with
engineering personnel, and requires the ability to communicate
effectively, both verbally and in writing. The individual must be
able to work and solve problems with minimum supervision and assist
in multiple concurrent projects.Principle Duties and
ResponsibilitiesProject ExecutionRead and interpret engineering
drawings, instructions, wiring diagrams and schematicsUse basic
measuring/inspection instrumentsUse a variety of hand/machine tools
to fabricate/assemble electrical and mechanical systemsPerform
material take-offs from engineering drawings for fabrication
projectsPerform routine preventative maintenance of
electrical/mechanical systemsAssist senior technician and engineers
in implementation of design objectivesPeriodic travel requirements
potentially requiring overnight staysFlexibility to work
overtime/weekends as requiredOther duties as assignedAsset
ManagementMaintain assigned stock of inventory and company
equipmentMaintain and perform routine inspections and preventive
maintenance on tools and shop equipmentWork safely and maintain a
clean and safe work area in accordance with company processes and
proceduresMaintain overall warehouse and shop efficiency and
cleanliness, serving as an example to others.Prototype and
Production and ResponsibilitiesDeliver high quality project
performance on budget and scheduleUnderstand and work within
project scope and budgetsIn coordination with the senior
technician, identify and mitigate technical riskAssist in real-time
incorporation of customer-directed design changesAssist in
generation of documentation of as-built configurations and test
reportsCommunicate with senior technician and project staff in an
open, timely and effective mannerPreferred ExperienceAssociates
degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
with three-four years of progressive hands-on experience in HVAC or
electrical components and systemsJourneyman Electrical or HVAC
licenseBasic skills in Windows/MS Office requiredEligibility to
attain security clearance requiredJob Information:Job Type:
