Federal Sales Market Leader Chanitilly, VA, US Herndon, VA, US Requisition Number: 74834 BASIC FUNCTION OF JOB This position is responsible for the identification, creation, and/or implementation of revenue, gross profit, cost control enhancing programs and tools for a particular market. This position typically oversees the Sales Managers along with policies and procedures as they relate to sales operations in order to increase productivity, customer satisfaction, and sales revenue. Work Performed: 60% Strategic direction of sales management in assigned market 20% Maintain excellent relationships with vendors and customers 20% Administrative functions to include budgets, meetings, pipeline management, etc WORK PERFORMED To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Functions of the Job: * Building and coaching of sales team. * Responsible for sales across hardware, software, services, networking and GP (gross profit) and revenue attainment. * Responsible for activities to generate opportunity pipeline in all product and services categories. * Responsible for progression and closure of opportunity pipeline. * Responsible for the achievement of net new clients and the addition of more net new clients than we lose to attrition. * Responsible for the achievement of new and cross category sales inside the existing client base. * Accountable for Monthly forecasts. * Drive recognition within division. * Holds quarterly reviews for all branch employees. * Monitoring expenses of sales representatives and overall branch expenses. * Working closely with and establish business relationships so as to obtain vital leads and information regarding deals that are occurring in the PC and technology market place. * Provide leadership and direction to the front line sales managers who are accountable for achieving sales and margin results. * Team with the VP, Sales to actively pursue new business, follow up with the Managers and Reps to help them close deals and work together. * Execute forecasting and budgeting responsibilities associated with activities and the achievement of sales objectives. * Develop and implements corrective action plan if sales performance from sales representatives is falling behind targets. * Strong knowledge of the reseller channel and information technology market. * Additional duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education and/or Experience: * Bachelor's degree with a minimum of eight to ten years of equivalent work experience in a sales environment with a minimum of seven years in sales management. * Previous management of a reseller sales force is a must. * Demonstrated experience in developing and leading sales process improvement projects required. * Must have a complete understanding of the sales process, as well as a full comprehension of key motivational approaches to enhance sales rep productivity. * Thorough understanding of Insight's system and sales processes a plus. * Must have P & L understanding to perform detailed analysis on revenue and GP productivity. * Experience in the development and execution of sales/marketing programs and contests a plus. * Must have skills in leadership and mentoring new and experienced teammates. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES * Able to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. * Able to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. * Able to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. * Able to write using original or innovative techniques or style. * Able to make effective and/or persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to all levels of management. * Strong negotiation, analytical, business relationship and strategic development skills needed. * Entrepreneurial operational style, motivated by results and excellence a must. * Strong reputation of personal and professional integrity also required. * Effective use of PC including Microsoft Office required.
