Requirements & Qualifications to Join Our League: Masterful Degree:
A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution,
advanced experience a plus but not required. License to Heal:
Virginia and DC state licensure (or eligibility) to practice your
heroic craft. Experience: Experience in pediatric occupational
therapy is heroic. We are seeking heroes with least 5 years
experience due to this being a leadership role Value Alignment:

Availability to Work with Our Squad: Due to the responsibilities
involved, we prefer someone who can work 20-40 hours a week.
Clearance for the Hero Hall of Fame: Ability to pass background
check, valid CPR/first aid certification or ability to obtain and

Qualifications: Occupational Therapist with experience in
outpatient pediatrics, schools, and/or early intervention and a
wide range of clinical experiences including diagnoses and ages
Degree from an accredited school or program and NBCOT Current Board
of Occupational Therapy license issued by the state of DC and/or VA
or ability to obtain Knowledgeable of evidence-based practices
found to benefit children Experience and ability to work
independently, using critical thinking skills and processes to
arrive at objective, results-oriented decisions within the context
of patient care and organizational priorities. Candidate should
demonstrate good judgment, decision-making, and communication
skills with a variety of individuals and groups. Should exercise
discretion and maintain confidentiality. Good working knowledge in
all applicable computer programs (Microsoft Office) and use of
iPad. Role of Lead Occupational Therapist at Skills on the Hill,
LLC: Provide client-based treatment and ongoing
parent/family/teacher education Plan individual treatment programs
based on client’s needs and adjust as needed Administer pediatric
standardized assessments Promote development of skills in areas of
fine/visual motor, feeding, self-help, sensory processing, and
social-emotional development and engage children in activities to
reduce behaviors that may interfere with learning and cognitive
functioning. Supervise, manage, discipline, encourage and advocate
for direct reports. Participate in interviews for candidates in
specific discipline as part of the hiring process. Review
discipline specific intake paperwork for intake coordinator when
clinical expertise is needed Create, assign, update, maintain and
distribute clinical competencies for department Manage discipline
specific supplies and materials and/or assessments. Assist with
developing new programming Assist with marketing for respective
discipline and collaborate with other discipline leads for
companywide initiatives. Provide backup coverage for specific
discipline in the case of emergencies. Assist with creating and
updating discipline specific procedures for company to improve
processes and procedures. Assist the Administrative Manager and
Clinical Director with schedule optimization for respective
divisions. Our practice specializes in working with children who
have the following diagnoses: Feeding difficulties / oral motor
delays Sensory processing and motor planning difficulties Global
developmental delays Neuromuscular impairments Genetic disorders
Learning disabilities Autism ADHD & self regulation challenges
Executive functioning weaknesses Visual motor and perceptual
deficits Cerebral Palsy Down Syndrome Physical Requirements: Duties
require extensive standing and walking. Requires lifting,
positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients. Duties require
frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
